[ Man, now Noctis is in a shitty mood. But he doesn't really show it. In fact, he pretty purposefully makes it seem like he doesn't care. But he's just as self-conscious as Prompto, and knowing that he talked to someone who knew him as a kid kind of makes him uncomfortable. He wasn't exactly a normal kid.

He's not angry at Prompto, though. Kinda impossible to be when he has his own hang-ups too. ]

I can moon you for the hell of it, if that'd make you feel better.

[ There's that blase tone. ]

[and he slumps over the counter, arms extended over the surface]

[he laughs]

Yeah, that would.

[but he lifts his head, and smiles at noctis]

--sorry, Noct. I know I shouldn't go behind your back. You're just, one of the coolest people I know, at least to me, and I don't wanna appear like an idiot in front of you. Even if ... I kinda am, all the time, huh?

[glances at the puddle of water there on the floor]

[ As Prompto slumps over the counter, Noctis reaches over and gently flicks his nose. ]

That's enough of my ass for one day.

[ And, a sigh. ]

I'm sorry, too.

I know you've got your hang-ups, too. I meant it when I said I trusted you, though. If you have a question, ask.

[ Noctis chuckles, getting up to grab a rag. ]

And yeah, you are an idiot. Not all the time, though.

Oh, hey, lemme clean up.

[he goes over and makes noctis sit down again, as he goes grab a rag. he spilled it, he cleans it.]

[he stays silent as he cleans up, and doesn't speak until a minute later]

...so, what was home like?

[ Noctis doesn't argue with Prompto wanting to clean it up, so he sits back down. His elbow rests on the counter, face resting on his hand. ]

Not as weird as this place.

[ But, he shrugs. ]

I grew up in a large city. The outside of it was pretty nice. Lots of trees, bluffs. But I liked the tall buildings I lived in the middle of.

[he dumps the rag over the sink, but goes on over himself to wrench the excess water off of it. prompto listens, interested.]

In Europe, right? I've never been out of Recolle... I hate bringing stuff up from before February, but you mentioned living in the UK, but you also travelled quite a bit, too?

Off and on, yeah. I grew up in the U.K., but we've settled in different places when the company expanded.

[ He finishes off his soda, tossing the can into the nearby garbage can. Noctis sighs at the mention of February. ]

Talking about before February sucks, but... I remember my life before showing up here. It's fine. It is what it is.

[he just wants to be careful, and a good friend.]

[blinking down at the towel in his hands, he lets it hang from the tap]
