[ The apartment isn’t exactly a mess, but Noctis is definitely standing because of one of his warpy episodes. He’s rubbing at his head in confusion, mostly because he’s trying to figure out how he appeared behind the entertainment center, which resulted in the knocking over of his collectible figures. It’s just happening at random, he’s not even given a choice to focus on a location like Rosalind suggested.

Prompto lets himself in as usual, and Noctis jolts to the chiding. He did agree to try eating better, but...

Well, the pizza is still in the microwave. He lost his appetite the second he got up and warped into the fucking TV.

Noctis exhales a laugh, feeling Prompto come up behind him and wrap him in a backwards embrace. He smiles, placing his hand over Prompto’s arms before twisting in his grasp to face him proper. ]

Hey, Prom.

[ He drapes his arms over Prompto’s shoulders. ]

I uh. Didn’t eat yet. So technically, I haven’t made a bad choice yet.

[ He kisses Prompto’s forehead. ]

How was work?

Slow. Tedious.

[he closes an eye at the kiss, pressing his hands onto noct's shoulders and then smoothing them out down his arms. it's only when he stops to look at his face that prompto realizes something isn't entirely well with him.]

[he quirks an eyebrow]

Another flashy warpy happened? Y'look like you're gonna be sick.

[ He’d make a comment about work, but the subject shifts when Prompto calls him out. He’s not wrong. Nearly every time this has happened, Noctis has been brought to vomiting his brains out. He’s not sure why. But this time, he’s managed to hold it in. The result is a burning, twisting stomach, but the need to throw up isn’t threatening him at least.

Still, Prompto brings it up and Noctis feels inclined to whine about it. He groans, pressing his face into the crook of Prompto’s neck and nodding into him. ]

Mmh...

[ He points over towards the entertainment center, bringing attention to the mess he made. ]

I almost tripped over Etro, then suddenly I was behind that. And now my stomach hurts...

Dude, seriously.

[prompto puts his hands on noctis' cheeks to try and center him, looking him dead in the eye. the damage to the entertainment center already taken into account]

Y'gotta learn how to work wiz it. [dammit, swollen tongue]

[he lets go to put noctis down on the couch, then handing him his heavy backpack from behind his back. it's heavy with his photography stuff, and it should help keep noctis down]

Focus on staying where you are. I'll get you some water, okay?

[he's off to the kitchen]

[ Prompto takes Noctis' cheeks to center him, effectively squishing his face a touch where Noctis' pout looks even more ridiculous. ]

I know.

[ But it's HARD. Noctis at least follows along with Prompto when he's guided to sit down, grunting when his heavy backpack is put onto his lap. And it becomes abundantly clear that Prompto is trying to weigh him down so he doesn't warp again.

... And that is ridiculously sweet, even if he's sure it may not work. But he doesn't move, does as he's told, and simply smashes his face against the backpack with a groan. ]

Okay... 'ank you, babe...

[ Yes, the agreement was whined out. ]

[prompto brings over a glass of water, setting it down on the table. on the L-shaped couch, he sits diagonal from noctis, looking him over. he tries to grab for his attention by putting a hand on his knee, shaking his leg lightly.]

We could go to a padded trainin' room for you to get it all out of your system. That way you won't hurt yourself or destroy your home in the process.

[once he's sure noctis can take the glass without much incident, he hops up on his feet and starts fixing the stuff that fell to the floor because of the warping incident]

It's an idea.

[ He takes the glass of water, looking rather ragged and worn down, but at least grateful. Noctis takes a sip, and the cool water rolling down his throat and chest seems to help settle his stomach. With a sigh, he takes the backpack off his lap. At the very least, he's calm, so there isn't too much concern about randomly warping around. ]

Doctor Lutece suggested I focus on where I wanna warp. So that might be a good idea to get some control over this.

[ Oh no... He's cleaning up for him. Noctis gets up to help, because there's no way he's gonna sit back and watch Prompto take care of his mess like that. Especially since he's embarrassed.

He starts picking up his figures, relieved that none of them are broken at least. He's not sure he could replace that. ]

I just need to focus, I think.

[he turns to look at noctis, picking up a figurine or two, setting them up on the surface. he's on his haunches, elbows over his knees]

You're defyin' all laws of physics, dude.

--don't think about it right now. Don't want you t'accidentally warp 'nywhere. [hands a figurine over] Here.

Still wanna try going out somewhere?

[ Noctis takes the figure that Prompto hands to him, smiling a bit. ]

Alright then. I could use a Prompto-level distraction, I think.

[ He takes a moment to put everything back in place, turning his head back to the blonde. ]

Wanna go out on a date?

[ At least he isn't awkward about this anymore. ]

[he blinks, eyes widening slightly]

A date?

[...he realizes they haven't been in one, not officially. are you trying to get to his romantic sensibilities? he looks back down at the mess of some dvds, fixing them up, keeping busy.]

I dunno. ...don't you feel queasy?

[he wants to go! he wants to!]

[ Noctis walks over, crouching down to help gather up the dvds and games that have scattered along the floor. ]

It's going away. S'whatever, I'll just take something for it and be careful what I pick to eat.

[ He softly smiles to himself, neatly stacking everything up to put them back. His gaze shifts over to Prompto, only slightly meek, but certainly admiring of his company. It's a lot easier to get past this when his focus is almost entirely on Prompto. There's that dumb, romantic feeling again. It's always overwhelming when it hits him.

He still can't believe they're actually an item. It's wild. ]

Let me treat you, huh? Isn't that what boyfriends do?

Y'forget I'm the person who thinks themselves the most undeserving.

[he swats at noctis' side, and his arm lands on a tiny that wants to be part of the conversations. he rub, rub, rubs at her head, between her ears, and her back]

Are you sure?

[ There Tiny goes, wanting all the attention. Noctis smiles at her though; she and Rufus are the best dogs.

His eyes flit back to Prompto. It's no surprise that Prompto still has low self-esteem, it's not gonna go away overnight. Even Noctis is still surprised that Prompto wanted to be with him in this capacity. He doesn't really think he's boyfriend material, much as he wants to be.

While he chuckles to the swat at his side, Noctis reaches over to playfully shove Prompto back in return. ]

Seriously? Of course I am.

These two weeks have been... Great, honestly. If we're giving this dating thing a shot, we might as well do it right.

Let's keep these firsts going. I like it.

[he picks up tiny after he gets shoved back, holding her lovingly in his arms. he loves dogs. and at noctis' words, he smiles, stands and leans down--dog still in arms--to kiss noctis.]

[it's not a quick kiss, either.]

[noctis does this thing, where he speaks and manages to charm the pants out of prompto. sometimes literally. but he's encouraged by the confidence in his words, how easy he makes it sound: "let's keep these firsts going. i like it." prompto likes it too.]

[he pulls away, pressing soft kisses to the edge of noctis' obvious smile]

I'm in work clothes. Y'got anythin' I can pick out?

[standing up straight, tiny turned upside down on his arms like a baby]

[ Tiny eats up the attention, as always. It's relatively clear that she's used to her paws never touching the ground, because Noctis has a pretty bad habit of picking her up and carrying her himself. She's too cute not to.

Noctis is uncertain of the silence, but he's reassured rather quick by the sudden closing of distance between them. Prompto kisses him, lingers, and as always? It steals the breath from his lungs and makes him feel warm and tingly, in the best way possible. He lets his eyes fall shut for the moment, sinking in, returning the kiss with gratitude and care.

He lets out a shaken exhale every time, like his breath is gone completely. He's so hopelessly in love with Prompto, affection destroys him every time. The smile stays, even when the kiss breaks.

Noctis stands with Prompto, idly scratching at Tiny's belly while Prompto holds her. ]

Plenty. Go ahead and raid my closet, I'll take a shower first.

Just promise not to defy-physics out of the shower.

[he grins, then sets tiny down, to have her jog/follow after him towards the room to get into the closet. he's just going to grab one of those really expensive shirts; his trousers are good enough.]

[it won't be long before he's checking his hair on his phone's camera, sitting on the couch, waiting for noctis while all the pets are either at his feet or on his lap (hi etro)]

Yeah, let's hope not.

[ Because he's already crashed into the shower and damn-near broke the curtain rod in the process. Still, he manages a laugh as he makes way for the bathroom.

Noctis takes a quick shower, popping out only briefly while towel-drying his hair to pick out some clothes. His toothbrush hangs from his mouth, and it only takes him about two minutes to pick something out.

He finds a simple, grey top to wear with his black skinny jeans, deciding against a hat because... Are you allowed to wear hats on dates? Should he dress up or modestly? Either way, he doesn't let himself hang onto that for too long, and he finishes up.

He comes out, hair, as always, in his face and being fussed with when he comes towards Prompto. ]

Ready?

[prompto looks him over and makes a face, standing up and stepping on the couch so he's hovering over noctis a little, fixing his damp hair]

Like, I know we're dating, but it's not fair to make me worry all the time?

[prompto's wearing a jacket over the borrowed shirt]

Where's y'beanie? Wear a scarf, too! I saw gloves in one of your drawers!

[he turns noctis around, forcefully, and jumps on his back]

Back t'the bedroom! [points dramatically down the hall]

[ Noctis stops, looking a bit confused when Prompto so quickly starts to fuss over him and his hair. Does it really look that messy? His nose wrinkles, eyes darting away because he starts to feel a bit embarrassed when Prompto asks all of those questions.

... He's forgetful. He knows that much. ]

A-Ah, I mean, I didn't--

[ OOF! Noctis doesn't even have the chance to make an excuse, because Prompto whirls him around and jumps on his back, forcing him to steal back his balance. Noctis loops his arms around Prompto's legs with a protesting grunt. Despite that, he laughs. ]

Okay, okay, fine, we're going.

[ TO THE BEDROOM.

Noctis carries Prompto in, and he's lucky Noctis has gotten some strength while regularly going to the gym. But he very quickly throws him on the bed. ]

One sec.

[ He walks over to the drawer, picking out a beanie and a scarf. The hat being black, the scarf grey with a skull and crossbones embellishment on the hem. Noctis holds them out to Prompto. ]

This good?

Yeah, but first.

[he rolls off the bed and steps into the adjoining bathroom. he looks around the drawers and picks out a hair dryer. why does noctis have a hair dryer? it probably came in a box of supplies when the apartment was stocked up.]

[he plugs it in on the side and smiles, beckoning his boyfriend over]

Come here.

[ The scarf and hat have the boyfriend seal of approval, which matters. A lot. But when Prompto waltzes over to the bathroom and calls him over, he neatly sets them down on the bed.

Oh, Prompto want's to...

This is... Oddly sweet of him. Noctis looks a little confused for a moment, but he does as he's told. He probably should have tried his hair, but this isn't all that bad. ]

Is it really that bad?

[ He says that with a laugh. ]

[they're the same height, so prompto sits himself up on the counter for some extra height. he rolls his eyes but grins, placing a hand over noctis' shoulder and keeping him between his legs.]

[he turns on the blow dryer to blow at noct's face for a second]

Y'want a cold? Go out at night with a wet head.

[but soon he's carding his fingers into damp, dark hair as the blow dryer is turned on, drying off soft, spiky hair little by little]

[ That smile doesn't go anywhere, especially when Prompto seems so eager to take care of this. He nestles himself between Prompto's legs, wrinkling his nose at the little blow to his face. ]

Sorry. Didn't think.

[ It's hard to when he's about to go on his first date with his first crush and first boyfriend. First everything, really.

Prompto gets started, and Noctis is acutely aware of the feeling that comes with Prompto's fingers slipping through his hair. He's never really known his scalp to be sensitive, but it... Feels good, actually. He sighs happily, staying where he is and merely resting his hands at Prompto's waist, brushing his thumbs there affectionately.

He never much liked to be fussed over. But this? This is... Nice. Prompto has always been caring and attentive, but there's a whole new level of experience here. Noctis feels loved, cared for, and knowing that it's coming from Prompto makes his heart throb against his chest.

He loves him. Impossibly so. But he knows it's far too soon to tell him.

Soon. It's not like he can talk with the hair dryer going anyway. Prompto would barely hear him. ]

[it takes a couple of minutes, and when prompto's done, he unplugs the blow dryer, carding both his hands through the hair to look over his handiwork. mussing the bangs wherever and however he wants]

All dry and warm. Bring the beanie and the scarf, yo.

[prompto will wrap him up]

[ Noctis hums, still cooperating as Prompto fixes his hair the way he sees fit. And he's okay with that. Honestly, however way Prompto wants to arrange it, Noctis will allow. It's important he looks good for him. ]

Yes, sir.

[ It's spoken fondly, and he turns on his heel to grab his beanie and scarf. The scarf is draped over his shoulder, beanie in his hands when he comes back to the bathroom. ]

Shouldn't you bundle up, too? You're not wearing a hat.
